You find a very large asteroid not a small one.

You then build rockets ONTO the asteroid so as to control it’s movement.

You then crash land the asteroid into the ocean. (Reverse thrusters to try to not cause the apocalypse).

Then you can mine it freely from the comfort of your own planet.
